High Ercall opened in September 2017 working in partnership with High Ercall Primary School. About Us
We follow the current guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (2017). This focuses on the child’s individual needs, interests and abilities. Your child’s key person will observe your child to ensure that their developmental needs are being met through a wide variety of planned activities and resources.
The development of the Nursery continues, providing day care or sessional care for your child. The secure garden is in use daily with a selection of ride along toys, tricycles, sand and water, and a variety of outdoor games. There is also a mud kitchen in which the children can explore and use their imagination. We have a dedicated under 2 area of the room which is separated off from the rest of the room. This ensures our youngest children have an age appropriate area of their own. The children also have the opportunity to take part in;
Music and rhythm sessions, Drama, Dance, P.E, Cookery sessions and regular outings.
All of the staff at the Nursery are experienced Childcare Practitioners, Nursery Nurses or Teachers. All staff hold relevant qualifications in Childcare and they update their training throughout the year. Our Manager is a Qualified Early Years Teacher and leads the teaching for our Preschool children in order to prepare them to be ready for the important school transition.
