At Hazles Farm Childcare, we believe childcare funding should be straightforward and flexible, helping you make the most of your child’s nursery experience. We’re open 52 weeks a year, so you have a choice in how you use your funded hours to suit your family’s needs.
1. All Year (Stretched)
If your child attends all year, across all 52 weeks, your funding can be spread evenly across the year. This is perfect for families needing year round childcare, rather than term time only.
- For the 30 funded hours a week - You can use up to 22 funded hours of childcare a week throughout the year.
- For 24U and Universal 3 Year Old 15 hours - You can use 11 funded hours of childcare a week throughout the year.
2. Term Time Only
Eligible families can use the full funding hours each week during the term time (usually around 38 weeks of the year)
Government funding is designed to pay for your child’s nursery care and early education during your booked hours. This includes:
-Qualified staff and learning activities
-Access to our nursery environment and resources
However, funding does not cover everything — and you may be charged for some optional extras.
You may choose to purchase extras alongside your funded hours. These are optional and charged separately:
- Meals, Snacks and Drinks
- Consumables - such as sun cream, Calpol, Dental Care
- Enhanced Activity Provision - such as classes, trips and forest school.
- Any additional hours
Please see individual nurseries price lists for itemized optional extras as this differs across settings.
These extras are not included in your funded hours and are optional, depending on what suits your family.
