Our Nutrirtion

At Hazles Farm Childcare, we promote healthy, balanced eating and aim to educate children about the benefits of a nutritious diet. In line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Nutrition Guidance 2025, our nursery menu is designed to support a varied and healthy diet.

Our menu has been thoughtfully planned to meet current nutritional guidance and support children’s healthy development. Throughout the day, children are offered five portions of fruit and vegetables, along with two to three servings of dairy. Each meal includes a source of protein, and at least one carbohydrate-based snack is provided daily.

We carefully limit processed fish, meat, and meat alternatives to no more than once per week for each type. Added sugars are avoided wherever possible, and we closely monitor sugar and salt content to ensure meals are nutritious and well balanced.
